I consider teaching a collaborative engagement…

In my teaching practice I am interested in merging andragogy (teacher as facilitator) with pedagogy (teacher as leader), so that students have an active role in their learning. Regardless of context, be that tertiary, further education, secondary, or primary, I believe it is important to respect individual learning approaches, prior knowledge, lived experience and learning needs.

Teaching is intertwined with my broader creative practice, through collaborative projects such as The Printed Stage, and community partnerships with organisations such as, The Horsebridge Arts Centre and University for the Creative Arts (UCA). I enjoy teaching, because I enjoy helping people achieve their creative goals.
